If you work in knowledge management there is one law firm you should definitely consider. Freshfields is a pioneer.
I am a knowledge management lawyer in the antitrust, competition and trade practice area. We give the practice lawyers all the training and information they need - from economics training for first-year lawyers, to skills meetings for people coming up to partnership. Our 250 competition lawyers also use our specialised knowledge to research and obtain documents they need for clients. It's a truly international area of law and one that is ever changing.
I've learnt that if you want to succeed at Freshfields, you'll be professional, no matter what area of the firm you work in. You will love a fast-paced environment where things happen all the time and you'll relish diversity. I work with people from many different countries and backgrounds, including Europe, China, Russia and the US. I know I'm privileged to be in this position, working at the forefront of competition law, always with an eye on what is coming so I can keep our lawyers informed.
And our team is known beyond Freshfields - I've given lectures at Cambridge University and written textbooks, and another member of the team is professor of competition law at King's College London.
