Jonathan read law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He joined us as a trainee in 2008. He is now an associate
In Hong Kong we have people from
all over
There must be between 10-20 different nationalities here, which
makes work more fun and interesting. We also have close links to
the London office - with many London secondees and plenty of
cross-border deals which involve other offices.
The exposure and training offered
to trainees is excellent
While I was in corporate I went on a business trip with the
managing partner of the Hong Kong office, and an associate, to
Glasgow. Trainees are given plenty of opportunities for client
contact and I think that goes to show that there is a lot of
confidence placed in you, despite the fact that you might not have
a huge amount of experience.
There's a very open
culture
For example, if you have an idea or an opinion then you are
encouraged to express it. And if you want to do a bit more than
you've been asked to do, that's welcomed too.
